Unconventional Apology Project

Created in honor of Barlow’s grandmother, Mableine Nelson Barlow, this portrait and interview series gives survivors of domestic violence and families of those who did not survive a space to tell their stories.

Each participant wears blue, Mableine’s favorite color.

The film includes survivors’ accounts of domestic violence.
