Mother’s Milk is on view at the Black Academic Excellence Center at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo curated by Sēpia Collective. Black Beyond Belonging brings together a multigenerational group of artists for two exciting digital-driven exhibitions. In each presentation, the art will illuminate Black cultural narratives derived from social spaces where compassion and humankind are overshadowed by systemic racial paradigms that lend themselves to precarious societal imbalances.
As part of the Black Beyond Belonging exhibition, there will be an NFT available for purchase June 3rd, 2022. For details about the NFT, please see Mother’s Milk.
Dear Mother,. A group show centered around family relationships - those that are fraught and those that have uplifted us - but also around the motherland and the mother figures in our lives that have stepped into our lives to care for us if our family "mothers" could not.
“A letter as mothers, to our mother, motherlands and all those who took us in.”
